Calling all runners, those who want to improve at running, dislikers of running, and everyone in between. If you want to learn how to run with proper mechanics and more efficiency, enjoy running more with less pain, and are located in the greater Portland area, then you need to come to my workshop! I will be sharing the key things I learned as a professional track athlete that have been most helpful to me in my running journey.
The workshop begins September 8th at 10am located at CrossFit Fort Vancouver. The workshop will be 90 minutes of learning the form and mechanics of running, doing practical application drills and workouts, as well as doing a stride video analysis of each athlete. I will be sending personalized feedback based on video footage from the workshop.
This workshop kicks off a month long program where I have programmed 2 running workouts per week for 4 weeks. We will also be doing a 1 mile timed trial at the beginning of this month long program, and re-testing on the last session of the program.
My goal for this workshop and running program is that those who are involved will learn a greater understanding of their own body and how it works most efficiently in the context of running, (not to mention many other areas of life that this carries over to). This will have many outcomes which include injury prevention and running with less pain (for those who currently experience pain), stronger core and greater utilization of the muscles involved. My hope is that running will become easier and more enjoyable and that we can all have a lot of fun through the process!
